Data Scientist Intern at Zoox - Summary

Position: Data Scientist Intern (Hybrid)
Location: Foster City, CA or Boston, MA
Duration: 12 weeks starting May/June 2026
Compensation: $5,500-$9,500/month + benefits

What You'll Do

Work on one of two teams:

• Autonomy Software V&V: Analyze self-driving car performance, track safety metrics, and study driving patterns
• Core Data Science: Build simulation frameworks and performance metrics for autonomous vehicles

Key Requirements

• Currently pursuing degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• Must return to school after internship
• At least one previous relevant internship/project
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Experience with data analysis tools (pandas, NumPy)
• Willing to relocate for the summer

Bonus Skills

• Experience with autonomous vehicles or robotics
• Knowledge of data visualization and dashboard building
• Familiarity with distributed computing (Spark, Databricks)
